Adobe Photoshop is the industry standard graphics software for photographers, designers, digital artists, as well as casual enthusiasts. It can be a baffling application to understand the first time you start it up. Luckily, littered throughout the web are an abundant amount of tutorials in all shapes and sizes that will help you get up and running in no time. The biggest problem is understanding the terminology and how it basically works. Once you know how to use the tools and how layers and smart objects work, following any tutorial on the web becomes easier. This course is designed to make understanding your Photoshop world a lot more simpler.
This course is all about the basics. These are the things you will learn:
Where everything is located on the user interface;
How to find and use tools;
Understanding how traditional and smart layers work;
Using adjustment layers & filters;
How to cut out and paste objects flawlessly;
Create an action to automate common tasks
Using text; and
Create a workspace and flow that works for you.
The training objective of this course is to be able to produce a magazine cover or poster that requires you to use photography, text and be able to remove objects from a scene and replace them with another. If the image does not appear to have been manipulated, then you have achieved the goal.
By having an understanding of this process, mean you will have the required knowledge of Photoshop to take your postproduction process to a whole new level.
This course if conducted over a six week period. AN IMPORTANT NOTE: Photoshop is a complex piece of software to learn at first. To do this course, you must attend all six classes and be prepared to complete all the homework tasks. If you don’t, then you will only gain enough knowledge to confuse yourself when using the software.
The course is conducted over 6 weeks on a Wednesday Night from 7pm until 9:30 pm at the Ufocus Studio, 1 Barnes Street, Tamworth on the following dates: 14th June, 21st June, 28th June, 5th July, 12 July & 19th July 2017.
Numbers are limited to 6 students
