PHOTOGRAPHY-LEVEL TWO (Image creation & Inspiration)
Course Requirements: A camera that allows you to select its manual functions.
Prior Knowledge or Skills Required:
This is a Level Two course and will require you to have some camera knowledge and skills to be able to participate. You will have to have completed the Photography – Level One course or be able to operate your camera in manual mode using and understanding your histogram to capture an image. Understanding the zone system and how the five image types are created. (5 Image types are, freeze, blur, shallow DOF, greater DOF and maximized sharpness).
This course is designed so that you don’t need a lot of expensive equipment. The tools we use can be quite expensive and is usually purchased over time during our photography life cycle. So we have kept it simple: a camera that allows you select its manual functions, the cameras manual, a charged battery and memory card. You will need a sturdy tripod and a reflector. If you need either, contact Ufocus who may be able to assist you in obtaining one.
PHOTOGRAPHY LEVEL TWO
As a photographer, you will need to master the technical aspects of your camera, before you can be successful in creating a compositional look in your photographs. This course is about using light to shape and create a unique compositional image that evokes emotion to your viewers.
You will gain an understanding of lens technology, this will assist in your lens selection process, prior to capturing that portrait or landscape image. You will get hands on activities that will make you explore the image creation process, and learn to apply the rules and compositional elements that makes a photograph successful.
You will learn how to recognize and take advantage of beautiful natural light. We will also explore how to use this light to create a photo narrative that will give your photos a natural look.
This course is a great introduction course for those who want to learn the art of photography.
Saturday 4th March 2017 with the second session on Sunday 5th March 2017.
Each course is conducted over two sessions on a weekend, the first is a four hour session on Saturday from 1pm until 5pm.
The second session is on Sunday with an early dawn start until 12pm.

Compositional Elements and when to break the RULES.
How to create a photo narrative.

We cover all your ground transportation needs during the activity.
We cover all your entry fees or permits for the activity.
All your workshop tuition is covered for the activity.
Tea & coffee and morning and afternoon tea is provided.
You will be provided with some great reference material that you can leave in your camera bag to remind you how to create those unique images, plus you get access to an online course that will help to re-enforce your learning experience with the Ufocus Team.
You will need your own camera plus a tripod for the course.

No one wants to miss the opportunity to travel or learn, but things do happen… In those situation, this is our policy.
All cancellations are subject to a $20 administration charge. In addition, if you cancel the following fee schedule will apply:
30 days or more: full refund less the administration fee.
14 days or more: 50% of the fee.
Less then 7 days; No refund.
